significant effect on reducing the incidence of tea staining in the environments that
can cause concern. Where tea staining still occurs despite regular washing, additional protection can be provided by the coating with EPC7460A crystal clear coating.

Application process for EPC7460A crystal clear coating
Cleaning – Before coating can take place the surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned. If the metal has already experienced some tea staining then this must be removed with
ERW-XL which is also safe for exposure to typical gasket materials rubbers and seals. After leaving the ERW-XL for at least 15 minutes, then agitate. On heavily contaminate areas additional and repeated application of ERW-XL may be applied, and the surface rubbed with a non-metallic cleaning pad in the direction of the grain of the material.
Do not rub across the grain as this will burr the polish lines and dull the surface.
Generally after this process there should be no oxide stains visible on the metal
surface.

Neutralising –The next step in the coating process is to ensure that any traces of the browning, tea staining and corrosion removed by rinsing with fresh water, cleaning the metal with a micro fibre cloth, then repeating the process again with ERW-Ph neutralising fluid. Ensure that the surface being cleaned is completely free of any acids and again a final rinse down with fresh water.
Surface preparation–The now cleaned surface must be wiped down with ERW-AL preparation fluid, removing any traces of grease or oils ensuring correct and lasting adhesion of the EPC7460A crystal clear coating.
Coating –The final step is a coating of EPC7460A crystal clear coating. This can be purchased directly from Bromoco or from an authorised agent. This coating is applied via various methods dependent on location and environment, and is dry to the touch in 15 minutes, and suitable for handling in 1 hour (at 27°C). A minimum of 2 coats should be applied although for harsh environments 3 to 4 coats is highly recommended. The coating should be allowed to full cure(about 24 hours before the final / top coat is applied.

Protect Stainless Steel from corrosion Salt and Chlorines

The Stainless Steel in both pictures above was cleaned at the same time in June, 2007. The stainless steel on the left was left unprotected and the stainless on the right was protected with ProtectaClear. This stainless steel is in the Natatorium in Mansfield, TX and is less than a year old. The chemicals are taking their toll on the unprotected stainless steel but the stainless steel rails protected with ProtectaClear looks new.
The Mansfield Natatorium is now protecting all the stainless steel railings, bulkheads, starting blocks and other metal from the corrosion from the pool chemicals.
