Lamp Post Brighton (England)
Lamp post number 5 is situated on the Brighton sea front less than 50 metres from the sea and was suffering from corrosion / browning and pitting.
We deep cleaned and removed all graffiti and stickers, before coating and protecting lamp post number 5 for Brighton and Hove Council in February 2009.
This is a part of a long term test to see how our coatings could cope in such a harsh environment, not only from oxidisation but also graffiti. The sequence of pictures shows the cleaning, preparing, and coating process.
*** UPDATE ***
We have added an 10 month update showing how the coating has protected the surface to date with no maintenance and the easy removal of fly stickers from the protected surface.
